Armillary Sphere Sundial Wave Bronze Verdigris Garden Art Sculpture – AR18

An Extraordinary Monumental Bronze Armillary Sphere Inspired by the Heavens

This extraordinary Wave Bronze Armillary Sphere Sundial is one of the most dramatic and imposing sculptures in the Avant Garden Bronzes collection.

Measuring an enormous 180 cm across its largest dimension, this magnificent solid bronze creation brings the wonder of the heavens into the landscape.

Its sweeping circular forms suggest planetary movement, celestial orbits and the endless passage of time.

The rich verdigris finish adds an ancient, almost mysterious character. Meanwhile, the open construction allows light and surrounding scenery to pass through the sculpture.

Unlike conventional garden sundials, this remarkable bronze has the presence of a monumental work of art.

For customers seeking a truly unforgettable centrepiece, it offers something far beyond ordinary garden decoration.

A Breathtaking Celestial Sculpture with Otherworldly Presence

There is something fascinating about the movement and geometry of this enormous armillary sphere.

Its sweeping bronze rings create the impression of an astronomical instrument from another world.

Viewed against an open sky, the circular structure evokes planetary orbits and the movement of celestial bodies.

Imagine this magnificent sculpture elevated above a landscaped mound, surrounded by substantial natural rocks.

From a distance, the bronze rings would appear to rise dramatically from the landscape.

For an imaginative garden designer, this offers the opportunity to create an extraordinary celestial installation with a genuinely otherworldly atmosphere.

One of the Largest and Most Impressive Armillaries in Our Collection

The exceptional scale of this sculpture immediately sets it apart from more traditional armillary spheres.

Measuring 180 × 120 × 65 cm, it offers a level of presence that smaller garden sundials simply cannot achieve.

Its generous proportions make it suitable for substantial lawns, landscaped estates and prominent outdoor locations.

However, the open circular design prevents the sculpture from appearing like a solid, enclosed mass.

Instead, the sweeping rings create an attractive sense of movement and space.

For customers seeking a major bronze centrepiece, its impressive dimensions represent a significant part of its appeal.

See the Enormous Scale in Our Photographs

Our photographs include images of this magnificent bronze armillary sphere alongside a person for scale.

These are particularly valuable because the sculpture’s extraordinary proportions can be difficult to appreciate from measurements alone.

Seeing someone standing beside the bronze gives a much clearer impression of its commanding size.

The photographs also reveal the sweeping configuration of the rings and the beautiful verdigris finish.

For anyone considering such an important garden feature, these images provide an excellent introduction to its true presence.

A Spectacular Bronze Sculpture Illuminated After Dark

One of our most remarkable photographs shows this enormous armillary sphere beautifully illuminated at night.

The carefully directed lighting transforms its sweeping bronze rings into a dramatic architectural feature.

Against the darkness, the circular forms become even more striking.

This creates exciting possibilities for substantial gardens, hotel grounds, corporate landscapes and themed attractions.

With professionally designed exterior lighting, the sculpture could provide an impressive evening focal point.

For customers planning a memorable landscape installation, the illuminated photograph offers wonderful inspiration.

An Outstanding Landmark Feature for Country Estates and Grand Gardens

This magnificent armillary sphere deserves a setting where its scale can be fully appreciated.

A sweeping country estate, substantial private garden or landscaped parkland could provide an exceptional home.

Positioned on a generous lawn, it would create a commanding focal point visible from across the grounds.

Alternatively, an elevated position within a carefully designed landscape could give it even greater prominence.

Natural stone, ornamental grasses and low planting would complement the verdigris bronze without distracting from its form.

For owners seeking a major garden sculpture with lasting architectural presence, this extraordinary design offers considerable potential.

A Remarkable Opportunity for Astronomy and Space-Themed Attractions

The celestial character of this sculpture creates opportunities far beyond traditional gardens.

An observatory, planetarium or astronomy-related visitor attraction could provide a fascinating setting for its planetary-inspired design.

Likewise, a science centre or space-themed destination might use the sculpture as a memorable outdoor landmark.

Its dramatic circular construction could complement imaginative landscaping and carefully designed visitor areas.

For theme parks or attractions exploring space, time and the universe, the sculpture offers a visually engaging connection with those subjects.

It could also provide an unusual photographic backdrop for visitors.

A Powerful Statement for Corporate Headquarters and Prestigious Businesses

Time, progress and the future are important themes for many successful organisations.

This magnificent bronze armillary sphere offers a striking artistic interpretation of those ideas.

Displayed outside a corporate headquarters, technology campus or prestigious commercial building, it could become a memorable architectural feature.

Its sweeping circular form suggests movement, continuity and ambition.

Businesses involved in engineering, science, technology or astronomy may find its symbolism particularly relevant.

For organisations seeking a substantial outdoor sculpture that communicates imagination and long-term vision, this design offers an unusual alternative to conventional corporate artwork.

An Exceptional Way to Commemorate an Important Milestone

Armillary spheres have long been associated with the passage of time and the movement of the heavens.

At this extraordinary scale, that symbolism becomes especially powerful.

A major company anniversary, institutional milestone or significant personal achievement could provide a meaningful reason to commission a permanent display.

The sculpture may also appeal to families wishing to establish a lasting feature within an important country property.

Rather than a conventional commemorative ornament, this substantial bronze offers the opportunity to create a genuine landscape landmark.

Its timeless celestial character makes it particularly appropriate for celebrating the past while looking towards the future.

Extraordinary Scale and Remarkable Value in Solid Bronze

Large bronze sculptures represent a significant investment, particularly when substantial dimensions and complex forms are involved.

This magnificent armillary sphere offers an exceptional combination of scale, craftsmanship and visual impact.

Its sweeping solid bronze construction creates a statement far beyond that of a conventional garden sundial.

For customers comparing substantial outdoor sculptures, the generous dimensions make this design particularly worthy of consideration.

It offers the opportunity to acquire an imposing bronze artwork without undertaking a completely bespoke design project.

For the right property or landscape, its impressive presence could make it a defining feature for many years.

Solid Bronze Construction for Permanent Outdoor Display

This remarkable armillary sphere is crafted from solid bronze with an attractive verdigris finish.

Bronze does not rust like iron or steel. Therefore, it is particularly well suited to permanent outdoor installation.

The verdigris patina gives the sculpture a distinctive aged appearance that complements natural stone and established landscaping.

Over time, weathering can add further character to the bronze surface.

Its enduring material and timeless celestial design make it an appealing choice for customers seeking a long-term architectural feature.

Planning a Suitable Location and Secure Installation

Because of its exceptional dimensions, careful planning is essential before installing this substantial bronze sculpture.

The chosen location should provide enough space to appreciate the sweeping rings from different directions.

A suitable foundation and secure fixing arrangement will also be important.

For an elevated display on natural rocks or a landscaped mound, professional structural advice is strongly recommended.

The supporting structure must accommodate the sculpture’s actual weight, fixing requirements and exposure to wind.

With thoughtful positioning and a carefully planned installation, this extraordinary bronze could become a spectacular permanent landscape feature.
