This lovely Pair of Bronze Donkey’s could make a fitting feature for a Donkey Sanctuary. There are more than 40 Million Donkeys in the world. For instance they have been used as a working animal for at least 5000 years. A male Donkey is known as a Jack and a female a Jenny. They are as a result a domesticated member of the Horse family. In the UK for example they are known with affection for giving children rides on the beaches of seaside towns. In addition there are also now lovely Donkey sanctuaries which care for neglected Donkeys. As a result of temperament, the Guernsey, Channel Island locals are often referred to as Donkeys and Jersey as Toads.
